We Must Get Bibles Back In Schools In 1998, I awoke from a troubling dream, sat straight up in my bed and said in a loud voice, "We must get Bibles back in schools!!!" You may think, "That's impossible." What is impossible with man is possible with God! Four years later I am standing in my bathroom and the answer comes to me in an instant. "It is so easy a child could understand how to get Bibles back in schools!" I said out loud to myself. First we have to understand who we are in Christ. Go to 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; Until you truly understand what the Lord has called you to be. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. You are God's own special people. Why??? So that you can proclaim and praise the ONE who saved you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 2 Co 5: 20 Tells us that we are Christ's ambassadors. An ambassador is a person who is a diplomatic agent of the highest rank; an authorized messenger or representative. They represent their nation or kingdom. In the natural, an ambassador has the responsibility to speak for their leaders. They must know the heart of their leader because are given extra ordinary representation of their entire nation! They speak for their whole nation. As an ambassador of Christ we represent God's kingdom! We are to represent His will and His ways. 2 Co 3: 2, 3 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart We are walking epistles of Christ, wherever we go the Bible goes! If you are in the Word and the Word is in you, then whereever you go, the Bible is there! It does no good to get a physical book into the library of the school if it will only sit there on the shelf. You must be the living word and entice others to read what you have read. It is not illegal to bring your Bible to school, have a prayer meeting or Bible study before or after school. Be fishers of men and be the Bible. Be doers of the word! James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Amen Judy Bauman |
